Katsîna Governor Inspectd N761m  Dialysis Centre,  Offsets Medical Bills Of Patients

Governor Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina State has inspected 761 million Naira  Dialysis Centre and offsets medical bills of patients at Katsina Hospital.

Governor Dikko Radda who paid an unscheduled visit to the Amadi Rimi General Hospital (Popularly known as Orthopaedic Hospital Batagarawa) in Batagarawa Local Government Area was at the hospital to inspect the ongoing construction of a 16-bed Dialysis Centre, which will be the first of its kind in the entire Northern part of the country. 

At the hospital, according to a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mohammed Kaula, the Governor settled the medical bills of patients on admission at the Accident and Emergency Section of the hospital and wished them speedy recovery.

The dialysis Centre aimed to enhance the accessibility and affordability of kidney treatment for patients in the state and beyond. 

Katsina State Government, in September 2023, set aside 761 million Naira for the establishment of the dialysis centre. 

During the inspection, Governor Radda expressed satisfaction with the level of progress of the project, and the contractor’s adherence to building standards.

He said the installation of all the 16 dialysis machines in the hospital would soon commence as the project was almost 90 percent completed.

“Attention would now be focused on the Magnetic Resonance Imaging Section of the centre to make the hospital a Centre of Excellence in the field of heathcare services,” Governor Dikko Umaru Radda assured.
