Katsina Govt Inaugurates 2024  Hajj Committee

 An eleven member delegation from Katsina State to this year’s Hajj under the leadership of the former Deputy Governor of the state, Alhaji Tukur Ahmed Jikamshi has been inaugurated.

Inaugurating members of the delegation in his office,  Governor Dikko Umaru Radda warned both the Hajj delegation and the management of the state Pilgrims Welfare Board to ensure that, “not a single Kobo is deducted from the  basic traveling allowances of the pilgrims for whatever reason.”

 Governor Umaru Radda promised to pay Seven hundred and twenty (720) Saudi riyals hadya package for each of the state intended pilgrims.

Governor Radda however, assured to give out the usual Sallah gift to the state pilgrims at the holy land.

He expressed happiness that despite all the challenges as a result of the increase of the hajj fare the intending pilgrims in the state were able to make up the payment.

The governor explained that, the state delegation has  the mandate of overseeing the general conduct of the hajj operations from beginning to an end .

This he said,  is in addition to complimenting the management of the pilgrims welfare board 

towards ensuring smooth and successful hajj exercise.

Governor Dikko maintained that, “the delegation is expected to produce a comprehensive report on the general conduct including any lapses or success with a view to make corrections in future hajj exercise.”

In an acceptance speech, the Chairman of the state delegation to this year’s hajj, Alhaji Tukur Ahmed Jikamshi  expressed gratitude to the state governor for finding them fit to serve the state pilgrims .

Alhaji Ahmed Jikamshi promised to work hand in hand with the officials of the pilgrims board in ensuring that, “the state pilgrims get the best.”
