Katsîna Governor Inaugurates Stakeholders Committee Ahead Bye Election

Governor Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina State has inaugurated a Committee of Stakeholders ahead of  bye election for the seat of  Kankara – Faskari – Sabuwa Federal Constituency to be conducted on February 03, 2024.

The committee headed by the State Deputy Governor Alhaji Faruq Lawal Jobe  has Senator Muntari Dan Dutse representing Funtua zone as Deputy Chairman while the Secretary to the Government of the State Barrister Abdullahi Garba Faskari is to serve as the secretary of the Committee.

According to Governor Dikko Radda all  APC members of the Federal and State Houses of Assembly, Commissioners and Special Advisers from Funtua zone are to serve as members of the Committee.

Other members include the  state Deputy and Vice Chairmen of APC in the zone, Council  and APC Chairmen of the eleven Local governments alongside with the State officials of the Party  from the zone .

He however, said the committee is at liberty to co-opt any personality who can contribute toward the success of the APC at the proposed bye election.

While appreciating some APC stakeholders for carrying along all Card carrying members of the party, Governor Dikko Radda pleaded for sustenable respect of all the Party leaders.

This he said would pave way for more commitment toward the victory of the party  at all times.

The Governor then announced plans to  unveil stakeholders committees  for each of the thirty four 34) local governments in the state.

Earlier the State Deputy Governor Alhaji Faruq Lawal Jobe said he had started consultations with  relevant stakeholders in Funtua zone on how best to strategize toward the victory of the bye election to be conducted in twenty (20) polling units of Kankara and Faskari local governments.

According to him APC has every reason to canvass for more votes considering the  commitment of Governor Dikko Umaru Radda in addressing major challenges including Security in the State.

In their separate remarks  State Chairman of APC Alhaji Sani Ahmed Daura and Senator Muntari Dan Dutse of Funtua zone observed that seven months of Radda administration had succeeded in ensuring the dividends of Democracy to the door steps of the common man.

They pleaded the stakeholders to be more polite in canvassing for votes from the electorates in the targeted Local Governments.
