Cold weather has become an obstacle to the normal activities in Kano State, where the high level of dust and  harmattan have overtaken almost everywhere, creating a foggy  atmosphere.

Our correspondent who monitored some parts of Kano State, reports that since in the early hours of Saturday, the sky became dusty and the weather remained very cold,  which forced many  people to remain indoors.

In the ancient city of Kano, people were seen wearing coat and other alternative  protective covers from cold, while  face masks sellers were also busy selling their wares, while most of  the vehicles windows were closed  to guard against the cold weather.

Meanwhile, the firewood and charcoal sellers were thronged with customers from different locations in their efforts to bargain the commodity for home use as observed by New Nigerian.

All those who had chats with our correspondent, stressed that this year’s season is different from the previous ones regarding the high powered harmattan and dust in which people with asthmatic issues stayed at home to protect themselves.
