Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani yesterday, said that with intervention of the clergyman prayers President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will certainly get it right.
Governor Uba Sani expressed this when he received the General Overseer (GO) of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye on a courtesy visit to Sir Kashim Ibrahim House.
“The President has taken some very important steps towards moving our country forward”, he said.
Pastor Adejare Adeboye is a Nigerian pastor and the present General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God, who was in Kaduna for Light of God at the Light up Crusade on February 10 and 11 at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna.
Governor Uba while welcoming the clergyman, said, “we have been monitoring what you’re doing and our people are happy from the feedback we get from them.”
He described Pastor E. A. Adeboye as a mentor who has touched lives too numerous to mention, from academia to the pulpit, old and young.
“You have deployed your visionary and managerial skills to elevate the Redeemed Christian Church of God to one of the largest churches in the world.
“You are instrumental in RCCG establishment of Redeemer University in 2005, you are indeed an institution.
“You have made interventions in critical times, aimed at directing the political leadership to path of justice and fairness, we deeply appreciate you”.
He said, “our country at this critical time requires intervention from people like you, who are tested, who have been in the past intervened and helped us to find solutions to our problems in the past.
“We believe you won’t be tired, we will also need your intervention at this critical time”.
The governor pointed out that many Nigerians are losing hope, going through difficulties because of what happened in the past.
“Right now we have a President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who is determined, focused and ready to take our country to the higher heights.
“With your intervention, your prayers, our President will certainly get it right because so far, the president has taken some very important steps towards moving our country forward.
“But most of these steps are things that might be difficult at this critical time because they are major reforms we need both economic reforms as well as social.
“Looking at some of the things that happened in the past for him to correct them, he needs some reforms that might be painful at this critical time, but I have no doubt on mind in the near future, Nigeria will be greater for all of us by the grace of God.
“That is the reason why we will continue to seek for your advice, wisdom and support and most importantly for your prayers,” he said.
The governor thanked them for coming to Kaduna, adding, “we will continue to consult you for advice and for wisdom.”
Earlier, the General Overseer, Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye said he was delighted to be there again, adding that he was there about two years ago with the former governor, when he came to pray for some of his members who are kidnapped and they were miraculously rescued.
“I came to encourage their families to let them know that all will be well.
“I have come again this time around, that the problems our nation is facing are more than political, but our problem will require quite a bit of spiritual solution.
“Our country is blessed with people with great intelligence, resources yet we have so many problems.
“It is not that all the authorities are not trying their best, but they are doing as much as humanly possible, hence when we find problems that are beyond human ability to solve, we call on Almighty because He has the power to solve all problems.
“We are going round in our own little way to support the efforts of all various governments, parastatals to call on the Almighty to come to our aid because we need help urgently.
“As much as our rulers are doing their very best to help us solve our problems, the problems seem to have persisted”. He said.
