Benue Govt Sacks Three Local Council Caretakers

The Benue State House of Assembly has Sacked the Caretaker Chairmen of Ukum, Katsina-Ala, and Gboko local government areas over alleged gross misconducts ranging from embezzlement of local government revenue funds and indulging in unwholesome activities.

Reading the letter on the floor of the Assembly, the speaker, Aondona Dajoh said the approval of the House to effect the changes in the mentioned local government areas.

New Nigerian Newspaper reports that after much deliberation, the House gave their approval that the affected chairmen should be sacked.

The House equally went ahead to confirm the names sent to them by the executive Governor, His Excellency, Reverend Father Hyacinth Alia, as replacement

According to the letter, Tervershima Abraham Agber as replaced by Verlumun Avar as the Chairman of Gboko local government, Rev. Pastor Gideon Haanongon was replaced with Victor Iorzaa for Ukum local government.

The letter from the governor further stated that Francis Zazan replaced with Justin Shaku for Katsina Ala government.
