*Says Tinubu not responsible for hardships in Nigeria

The Yoruba Nation agitator, Chief Sunday Adeyemo Igboho has accused former President Muhammadu Buhari of allegedly destroying Nigeria’s economy during his eight years tenure.
Speaking on Saturday at the burial reception held at Sablak Event Centre, Sanyo, Ibadan after the funeral ceremony of his late mother, Mrs S.A. Adeyemo, he declared that President Bola Tinubu is not responsible for the present level hardship in Nigeria
Chief Adeyemo alleged that Nigeria’s economy was destroyed before Asiwaju Tinubu was elected and sworn in as the President of Nigeria on May 29, 2023.
According to the Yoruba Nation agitator, a bad Nigerian economy was handed over to President Tinubu by the immediate past administration in the country.
Stressing that President Tinubu didn’t destroy Nigeria’s economy, he said, “my pain with Yorubas is that while Buhari was in power, I was shouting that we should unite and free ourselves from this suffering. Buhari has nothing to offer us.
“ Buhari handed over a government he had destroyed to Tinubu. Now some Yorubas are crying that they are hungry, have you seen Igbos crying? They have sent all Fulanis out of their lands and they are farming, doing what they want with their lands”, he said.
The Yoruba Nation agitator added, ” Why can’t Yorubas unite and liberate the South West from Fulanis so that our fathers and mothers can return to their farmland?”
Meanwhile, Leader and Founder of Ilana Omo Oodua Worldwide, Emeritus Professor Banjo Akintoye
expressed his intention to return to Nigeria with the arrival of Sunday Igboho last Friday.
Speaking through Chief Gani Alagbala, Prof Akintoye who has been in self exile since the incarceration of the Yoruba Nation agitator in Benin Republic, disclosed that he was highly fulfilled as a Yoruba, to witness the eventual return of Chief Adeyemo to Nigeria, after long battle with the authorities.

New Nigerian recalls that Chief Adeyemo was arrested alongside his wife in Cotonou, Benin Republic by security operatives on July 19 after fleeing Nigeria to evade arrest by Nigeria’s secret police.
The Department of State Services (DSS) had declared Igboho wanted after its operatives carried out a bloody midnight raid on his residence in the Soka area of Ibadan, Oyo State.
