In efforts to commemorate the international women’s day, the founder of Hold A Needy And Support (HANs) Center for Social Justice, Barr Hannatu Dauda Simon with a creed to trumpet the rights of the most vulnerable, advocate for the education of the Girl Child, empower women and advance the course of societal justice, organized a one day symposium for the girl child to mark the international women’s day.
The girl child summit in Mega Girls College Doma, Gombe, featured an unprecedented erudite gathering of elite female speakers with high academic & professional laurels from distinguished Ministries, agencies and Governmental parastatal.
The speakers inspired, empowered and connected the next generation of prospective female leaders with preeminent role models in their desired career:
Speaking on her inspiration, Barr. Hannatu Simon, called on the society to inspire inclusion and invest in women to accelerate progress.
“We are not struggling for equality to compete, all we ask of is equity in equality, give us that which we need to support you move the nation forward, give us the support to advance in our career, give us the opportunity to bring on the table different perspectives, empathy and collaboration”, she added.
The founder of HANS center for social Justice and development also affirmed that it is her firm belief that women’s education is the most powerful tool that can be used to change the world as women emphasize teamwork and authentic communication. Women’s approach to problem solving and decision making is unique.
Therefore, it is our moral obligation as forerunners to undividedly contribute our quota towards the mental grooming of our girls in preparation for their position as future leaders.

Zariyatu Abubakar Hashidu (Gender Advocate), in her paper presentation, stated that grooming Female Professionals for the Attainment of Sustainable Inclusivity in National Life is paramount.
Faith Adamu Bawa State coordinator Center for Girls Education emphasized that Education is a critical tool for Addressing Inequality and Social Injustice in Nigeria.
Barr .Martha Onyanta Daniels of Advocacy for Children’s Initiative, informed the children that one of the ways to prevent gender-based violence is through education and BEHAVIORAL CHANGE.
Barr. Fatima Tijjani, Legal Officer FTH in her presentation by imparting Entrepreneurial Skills in the Girl-child for Self-Reliance and National Development.
One of the Trustees of the NGO, Maryam Isa Mele( Gender Advocate) encouraged the girls to further their Education Up to university level and study professional courses to be well poised into decision making bringing pride to the state.
Magistrate Abubakar Jungodo, called on women to raise alarm when they fall victim of any form of abuse, adding that such abuse is a violation of the law and reporting such cases reduces the height of such cases.
He commended the effort of the founder, Barr. Hannatu Dauda Simon for organizing such a timely program.
The principal of the school, Hajiya Fatima Ali Baba, appreciated the organizers of this program for choosing her school to enrich the girls with such quality lectures.
Students interviewed, expressed their joy and satisfaction for this submit, appealing that such programs should be organized more often for their benefits
Students parted with gifts and special prizes for outstanding performances.
