Masterminds Of Mass Murder In Kogi Community Arrested

Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo on Wednesday has confirmed the arrest of some of the masterminds of the attack on Agojeju Odo village in Omala Local Government Area of the state.
Governor Ododo disclosed this to pressmen on Wednesday in Okene shortly after observing his Eid-el-fitri two-raka prayers at the Okene Eid praying ground.
It could be recalled that about a week ago scores of persons were killed and several houses set ablaze in Agojeju- Odo in Omala local government area of the the State when marauding beasts in fun battle wrecked havoc on the community.
The governor who was fielding questions from Journalists on the attack told journalists that the suspected attackers had been arrested, adding that further investigations were still underway.
Reacting to criticism of his fledging administration, Ododo said he was not perturbed by the recent attacks on his administration from pessimists for alledged lacklustre and inaction, arguing that he would not dignify the ill promoters with a response.
Gov Ododo said, “reacting to noise makers and those who do not have a stake as far as governance is concerned is not part of the mandate given to me by the good people of Kogi State and Mr President”.
“As I speak to you today, the suspected sponsors have been arrested, investigations are ongoing. They are giving us useful information that will lead to the arrest of other suspects”, he said.
He assured the people of the state that “as soon as we are done with that investigation, the report will be made known to the public.”
