By; ALEX UANGBAOJE, Kaduna

The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in the 2023 governorship election in Kaduna State, Isa Ashiru, has declared that he is not going to quit politics, despite losing the guber contest twice.

Ashiru, who made the announcement on Monday at a press conference in Kaduna, noted that only selfish people quit after losing elections.

He said his intention to participate in politics is not about him, but about the people of Kaduna State, as such, he is not done.

Justice Tijjani Abubakar on Friday January 19, 2024, dismissed an appeal challenging the election of Uba Sani as the validly elected governor of Kaduna State, filed by Isa Ashiru.

The judgment according to Ashiru, though not what he expected, but since it was the verdict of the Supreme Court, he has taken it in good faith and moved on.

He appreciated Kaduna people for always supporting him urging them to continue to be law abiding and do everything that will better the state.

Ashiru, stated that some of the activities that happened before and during the 2023 elections are unimaginable and can not be called politics, because the system has detailed.

This according to him called for more sensitization and mass mobilization of electorates ahead of 2027 elections.
