Chikun State Assembly: Kaduna Deputy Governor Urges Electorate To Vote For APC Candidate

The Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe on Thursday has called on the people of Chikun State Constituency to vote All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Kaduna State House of Assembly by election.

She made the call at the flag off of  All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign Rally for State Assembly By-election for Chikun Constituency, Chikun Local Government Area, held at  Kaduna Polytechnic Field in Kaduna.

According to her,  vote ahead of the February 3 House of Assembly by-election in Chikun local government area, she urged the electorate to vote for the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Dr. Balarabe  urged residents and members of the party to prioritise voting for the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidate in the forthcoming election for continued quality representation in the House of Representatives.

She said that the future of the constituency is in the electorate actively participating in the election and ensuring a positive outcome for the party and its candidate.

She stressed that,  “as we approach the  By-Election on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024, I urge all residents and members of our party to retrieve and verify their PVCs to be able to participate in the February 3 by-election.

“Let’s prioritise civic duty over frivolous celebrations on that day. It is paramount to intensify our mobilisation efforts, recognising that victory and our journey to the National Assembly are within reach.

“This call to action is not just about a political contest, but also a reminder of our collective strength through inclusivity. Let us foster a world where everyone, regardless of ability, can thrive.

“Stand united to support the APC and cast your vote for Jesse David Tanko, he  deserves the best representation, and your vote is the key to victory.

“Let’s collectively shape the future of our constituency by participating actively in the Chikun Constituency By-Election and ensuring a positive outcome for for Jesse David Tanko and the APC.

On his part, the APC Chairman, Air Commodore Jakada appealed to Chikun community to come out enmass and vote for APC for the progress of the state.

“We solicited for your support come February 3, to cast your vote on the party for development of the state”.

Meanwhile, All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Chikun Constituency By-election come February 3, Jesse David Tanko, presenting “The Hope Renewed Manifesto”,  said, “my social contract with the people of Chikun Constituency.

“This Renewed Hope Manifesto is carefully crafted as my social contract with the people of Chikun, whose mandate I seek to represent at the Kaduna State House of Assembly.

“It was thoughtfully developed with input from stakeholders reflecting the pressing needs and aspirations of our people. 

“The manifesto outlines comprehensive plans and proposals for purposeful representation, which I commit to pursue when elected as a legislator representing my constituency.

“With your support, I will delivered on the promising vision of The Hope Renewed contained in this Manifesto,” he said.

At the venue, the Deputy Governor, Dr Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, along with the APC State Organising Secretary, Ibrahim Kawu Yakasai  received into the APC fold, Revered Dr. Andrew Duya, 2023 Governorship aspirant, and a former PDP stalwart in Chikun, Danjuma Musa, also known as “Face 2”.

The duo are among many politicians that have decamped into the APC in Chikun LGA to align with Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani in his vision for Kaduna State and to ensure the party’s victory in the February 3 State Assembly By-elections in Chikun.
