Uba Sani Bags ROSV 2023 Distinguished Inclusive Leadership Excellence Award

Considering his style of leadership and role well played in ensuring a positive outcome in respect to the development of the people and the nation, especially in the aspect of leadership inclusiveness of both youth and the old, Kaduna State Governor, Malam Uba Sani has received an award of being the most distinguished Inclusive Leadership Excellence Award for the Year 2023.

While presenting the award to his Excellency, Governor Uba Sani at the Sir Kashim Ibrahim House on Monday in Kaduna, the Chief Executive Officer, Riders Option Standard Vision (ROSV), Dr. Grema Kyari explained that, Gov Uba Sani has played a major role in ensuring all inclusiveness in terms of running the affairs of his administration.

Dr. Grema added that, the reason for the award presented was by virtue of him being inclusive in his administration by providing an opportunity for both the youth and old to participate in his Government because youth by virtue of their youthfulness, they can be active players in his Government, while youths are the future and the future is Artificial Intelligence.

According to him, the Riders Option Standard Vision is a nongovernmental organization that focus more on the Artificial Intelligence (AI) projects in the country especially in the Northern region to create an inclusive environment where youth, professionals, and decision-makers can connect and collaborate towards a common vision.

Dr. Grema said, “the just concluded 1st Northwest Conference at Katsina State on 7th and 8th February, 2024 marks the third installment in a series of regional conferences organized by the Rider Option Standard Vision with the previous conferences successfully held in Minna, Niger State and Maiduguri, Borno State in December 2023.

“The sole aim of the conference is to bring together all Northern Stakeholders, Regulators, Policy Makers, Fintech, Mobile Payment Systems, Governments, Innovators, Technology Solution Providers, Social Impact Enterprises, Banks, Telecommunications Firms, Researchers, Development Finance Institutions, Non-Governmental Organisations, Entrepreneurs, Start-ups, and Philanthropists etc, seeking to promote deep knowledge on Artificial Intelligence.

“However, the event was a platform for knowledge sharing, networking, and the formation of an AI community, fostering collaboration and advancements in the field within the conflux of professionals, innovators, and experts to ensures a holistic and comprehensive dialogue on the future of AI in the region.

The Northern base NGO, in Collaboration with other Digital Transformation Partners is expected to bring in a new era of technological and economic transformation over the next two decades.

Grema added that, Artificial intelligence is evolving at an unprecedented stage, sweeping through every corner of the world with a certain prediction of automating fifty percent of global jobs by 2030 and it is necessary for us to be part of the digital transformation strategies by re-skilling and up-skilling of our people particularly women and girls.

He said, “Our mission aligns closely with the goals and vision of your most generous and impactful charitable cause, and we are excited by the transformative work that you have undertaken over the years across the country and beyond.”

While receiving the award on behalf of the Kaduna State Governor, the Special Adviser on Information, Communication and Technology (ICT), Dr. Engr. Bashir Garba Ibrahim thanked the organization for re-awarding his Excellency Governor Uba Sani, because he has received so many awards in ICT, Empowerment with so many other things.

He said, “we’re so happy to receive this award and we like already told you, this partnership is not going to end hence it’s going to be continues, while Kaduna state is open to further partnership with you people not only in this part but also in all other parts that I mentioned to the CEO so that you will key in as you walk out to bring development to our state.”

Engr. Bashir Garba Ibrahim, thanked all members of the organization, and the federal government for given them the opportunity to come and display their knowledge with people and even organising the conference.

“It’s not an easy task to do such things most especially at this time of the day because you must have the willingness and the heart of trying to salvage this country to go to the dream land and we appreciate it.” According to him
