FIRS Commiserates With YSU Over Fire Disaster

Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has commiserated with the Management, staff, students and the entire community of Yobe State University over the fire incidence that razed down a Female Hostel in the University.

The visit was held  today February 20, 2024 at the University Senate Chamber.

Speaking during the visit, the State Monitor, Federal Inland Revenue Service, Alhaji Adamu Maina, said they were at the University to commiserate with the Management, staff, students and University Community over the disaster that occured in the institution.

He added that they found it necessary to sympathise with the University as one of the institutions that are paying tax promptly.

Responding, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Mala Mohammed Daura, said the University Management is very grateful for the visit.

He then commended the efforts of the parastatal for the visit and assured them of maintaining mutual relationship between them.
