*NSCDC deposits remains at ABUTH Morgue

A 26-yr old student, identified as Ezekiel Wilfred has died as a result of drowning in Zaria, Kaduna State.
This was disclosed by the Disaster Management Unit, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kaduna State Command Headquarters, in a situation report, sighted by our correspondent yesterday.
According to the situation report titled, “A Case Of Respiratory Impairment (Drown Case) at Zaria LGA” the incident occured on Wednesday March 6, 2024.

ACC Akhaine King Michael informed that the incidence was reported at about pm.
“While swimming in a pool at Congo Conference Hotel, along Gyallesu Road Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria Kaduna State.
“A student of Federal College of Education (FCE) and identified as Ezekiel Wilfred an adult of about 26 years got drowned.
It was reported that the victim had spinal injury sustained at the point of diving in the shallow pool of water,” the report said.
NSCDC said that the victim has since been evacuated out of the pool of water and deposited at the morgue of Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital Zaria by the personnel of the Disaster Management Unit of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Zaria Division in assistance with sympathizers around the pool.
