Towards ensuring a topnotch security before, during and after the Easter celebrations in Akwa Ibom State, the Police Command said it has deployed two thousand, three hundred and thirteen (2,313) officers and men to strategic locations, including worship centres, motor parks, amusement centres and other places in the state.
This was contained in a statement on Friday, signed by the Command Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Odiko Macdon.
“For a peaceful celebration of the Easter Holidays, the Commissioner of Police has deployed two thousand, three hundred and thirteen ( 2,313 ) Officers and Men of the Command to strategic locations, including worship centres, motor Parks, amusement Centres,, etc for the purpose of providing topnotch security before, during and after the Easter celebrations.”
MacDon, a Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) said that the Commissioner of Police, CP Waheed Ayilara has also cleared on the evil machinations of criminal elements. He has reminded them to leave the State as there will be no hiding place for them
According to MacDon, CP Ayilara has felicitated with the Government and good People of Akwa Ibom State on the occasion of the 2024 Easter Celebration.
“The CP, while thanking God for the prevailing peace in the State, congratulated the Government of Pastor Umo Bassey Eno for the developmental strides. He particularly prayed for the peace and progress of Akwa Ibom State and called on the good People of the State to remain steadfast in the pursuit of peace, unity and progress of the State.” The release added.
