A New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Chieftain Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo has tasked Christians in Nigeria to pray in the Easter celebration for the country to overcome its present challenges.
Ambassador Ajadi gave the task in his Easter message to Christians across the country on this year’s Easter celebration.
The NNPP gubernatorial candidate in Ogun State in the 2023 general elections maintained that Nigeria as a country is facing issues of insecurity and poverty, adding that the problems do not only affect the economy and the progress of the nation but threaten its existence.
” I urge all Nigerians to pray for peace and security amidst seemingly intractable insecurity around Nigeria and an end to all kind of criminal activities in the land”, he said.
The NNPP Chieftain added, ” We should also not forget the present economic hardship facing the Nigeria and her citizens”.
“Easter which is the season of the remembrance of the crucifixion, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ marks the trial, sacrifice, victory and completion of the divine mandate of the author of the Christian faith”.
While stressing the need for peace, love and tolerance among Nigerians, Ambassador Ajadi called on Christians to use the occasion to pray for peace and security during the Easter celebration.
“Our nation is faced with rampant insecurity from Insurgents, bandits’ attacks, kidnapping, herders/ farmers clashes that are not only affecting the economy and the progress of the nation but threatening its existence. I call on all to pray for peace and security during the celebration of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ”.
