Governor Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina state has announced the donation of fifty million (50,000,000.00) Naira to victims of the recent fire outbreaks at Funtua Central Market.
Governor Umaru Radda made the announcement while inspecting section of herbals medicine in the market mostly affected by the incident
Governor Radda disclosed that, the money donated was not in any way intended to compensate the victims but to support them economically to reduce their loss.
Consequently, the Katsina state Governor directed the authorities of Funtua local council to meet with the leadership of the central market to advertise the state government on the workable measures to prevent future occurrence of the inferno.
He therefore, registered his sympathy on those affected by the fire and prayed “Almighty ALLAH” to guard future occurrence of the calamity.
Governor Dikko Umaru Radda enjoined traders to pay “zakkat regularly as among other’ steps to purify their wealth against any calamity.”
