Uba Sani Performs Ground Breaking For 327 Kilometres Road

Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani last Saturday, performed the groundbreaking for the construction of a 327  kilometers road linking College Road to Mashigi, stretching down to Eastern Bypass of Millennium City. 

Governor Uba Sani, Deputy Governor Dr Hadiza Balarabe and other government officials were at Unguwar Dosa Extension, when the governor performed the groundbreaking ceremony of the following projects, Nurus Siraj Unguwar Dosa New Extension Layout, 15-span dual carriage bridge linking College Road to Mashigi, IBB Way (10.5km), MKO Abiola Way (7KM) in Kaduna. 

According to him, “this is just one part of the project, the total number  of kilometres when this project is completed will be about 327 kilometres put together. The new investment flow into Kaduna State is being supported by infrastructure upgrade. 

“We are determined to make Kaduna State a business hub in the North and the choice destination for investors.

“The road will cut across Igabi, Kaduna North and Chikun Local government areas, the 327 kilometers includes the main road linking College Road to Millennium City and other feeder roads within the various districts”. 

He explained that during the construction period, employment opportunities would be created for skilled, semi – skilled and unskilled labour. 

“When completed, the road will ease movement of people and goods,” he assured. 

Uba Sani pointed out that, “the event brings to 21,  the number of roads I have performed their groundbreaking across our local government areas since assumption of office. About 827 kilometers of roads are currently under construction. 

“We are ramping up our infrastructural development drive. Our rural transformation programme is being executed concurrently with upgrade of infrastructure in the urban areas. 

“The new investments flowing into Kaduna State are being supported by infrastructure upgrades. We are determined to make Kaduna State a business hub in the North and a choice destination for investors. 

“This 15 kilometre road will link College Road to Mashigi, stretch down to Eastern Bypass of Millennium City.

“We have chosen to perform the groundbreaking at this dual carriage way bridge, because it is a key feature of this project.

“This road when completed, will ease movement of people and goods.

“We are putting Kaduna State on a sure path towards actualizing its potentials. It is now my honour to inform you that before this event, under my leadership with the support of deputy governor and senior government officials, we have done groundbreaking of over 21 roads across 23 local government areas of Kaduna State.

“We are currently building skills vocational cities in three local government areas across the three geo-political zones that is, Soba, Igabi and Samaru Kataf local government areas.

“This very important project is about approximately three thousand four hundred hactares of land,  the entire landscape of these projects.

“At the same time, this project comprises of the provision of water and sanitation to all the communities, provision of power utilities and it will also cut across about eight districts.

“The project will also cut across about three local government areas that is Kaduna North, Igabi and Chikun. We are putting Kaduna State on a sure path towards actualizing its potentials.

“It is now my honour and privilege to perform the groundbreaking of this important road that will link College Road to Mashigi, stretch down to Eastern Bypass to  Millennium City for the benefit of people of Kaduna and humanity.
