The National Security Adviser (NSA), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu has expressed deep felicitations to the Muslim Ummah for witnessing another Eid el Fitri celebration.

The NSA in a statement he made available to newsmen on Tuesday, April 10, 2024, urged Muslims to continue to reflect on the lessons of the Eid el Fitri exemplified by sacrifice, endurance, total submission to Allah, alms giving, and night vigils.

He urged Muslims to continue to imbibe the virtues of the festivity expressing optimism that with such level of dedication to Allah and commitment to the well being of mankind, Nigeria will in no distant time regains its lost glory.

Ribadu urged Nigerians to continue to pray for the success of the Tinubu led administration in containing the myriads of socio economic challenges it met on ground, maintaining that with focus, commitment and dedication, there will be light at the end of the tunnel.

The NSA acknowledged that in its desire to reset the country, the Tinubu led administration is taking some tough decisions adding that the pains of such tough policies will sooner than later ease off and give way for a new and prosperous country.

“I urge my Muslim brothers to continue to reflect on the lessons of sacrifice, dedication, total submission to Allah and commitment to the welfare of the less  privileged which became the hallmark of the 30 day fasting.

“It is my fervent hope that they will maintain the tempo of sacrifice, dedication to the will of Allah and commitment to the well being of mankind in the course of the year.

“With such commitment, it is my fervent belief that sooner than later, Nigeria will overcome all its existential challenges.

“Let us also continue to pray for the Tinubu led administration to succeed in its desire to return Nigeria to its lost glory where every citizen will benefit from the abundant resources that the country is blessed with.

“I want to use this opportunity to acknowledge that some of the policies being undertaken by the federal government are tough. But I assure you that with the zeal and commitment of the president, the gains of such decisions will soon overshadow the instantaneous pains.

“We have already started seeing the effect of some of these policies as the naira has been making a lot of gains against the dollar which translates into softening of the spiralling inflation.

“It is our hope that with consistency, commitment, dedication and the support of all Nigerians, Nigeria will weather the storm and we shall leave the country far better than we met it,” Ribadu said.
