Sallah: House Member Hon Munir Harps On Promoting Spirit Of Togetherness Among Nigerians

Federal legislator, Hon. Ahmed Munir has called on Nigerians to live and promote the spirit of love and togetherness as Muslims mark the 2024 Eid-el-fitr festival.

The member representing Lere Federal Constituency, made the appeal  while some prominent indigenes of his constituency and the local government paid a Sallah homage to his father’s resident, an elder statesman Ambassador Lawal Munir.

He stressed the need for unity amongst adherents of various faiths and sects in the State and Nigeria at large, saying the nation could only overcome her socio-economic and political challenges if citizens work in collaborative manner with one another, irrespective of their ideological differences.

He expressed optimism in the ability of the current leadership to take the nation  to an enviable height that would be the pride of her contemporaries.

“Nigeria is blessed and We must see ourselves as such so that the task of bringing back the country to her deserving state and position in the committee of nations will not be a strange battle to us.

“It is my pleasure to congratulate the Muslim faithful for completing yet another 30 days of the Ramadan fasting and capping it up with occasion of the Eid feast to underscore the importance of equality and  togetherness among mankind.

“It is in this light, I am urging all Nigerians to spread love across every corner of the country so that all citizens will feel loved by one another.

“Hatred and bigotry are the greatest enemies we have been contending with in our determination towards having a developed entity.

“We must purge the present generation of the seed of hatred planted in them by unscrupulous individuals who do not mean well for our dear nation in order to succeed,” he submitted.

In the delegation of prominent and illustrious sons of the state who visited his father for Sallah homage were; Sarkin Kudaru Yakubu Sauri, Executive Chairman of Lere, Mathew Gambo Kaku, APC Chairman of Lere Local Government Jonathan Shakarau.

Others included former deputy speaker of Kaduna State House of Assembly Professor Mato Dogara and Jakadan Kurmi Haruna Dogara among others.

He thanked the delegates for their visit, support and promised not to disappoint them for the mandate given to him to represent them at green chamber and, also promised to carry them along and also to continue bringing dividend of democracy to the good people of Lere constituency.
