Zailani Condemns Abduction of School Children In Kaduna, Calls For Urgent Action

Speaker of the Kaduna 9th Assembly, Rt Hon Yusuf Ibrahim Zailani FCNA has expressed deep sorrow and solidarity with Governor Uba Sani and the people of Kuriga Ward in Chikun Local Government Area, following the recent abduction of over 280 pupils and teachers from Government Secondary School and LEA primary school in Kuriga, Kaduna State. 

The brazen attack by bandits on Thursday has sparked national outrage and renewed calls for urgent action to address the escalating security challenges in the region.

In a statement issued by his Media Aide, Amb Ibrahim Dahiru Danfulani (Sadaukin Garkuwan Keffi and Betara of Biu), the  Speaker of the Kaduna State 9th Assembly called on the security agencies to swiftly intervene and rescue the abducted individuals. 

He emphasized the need for a coordinated effort to ensure the safe return of the victims and to bring the perpetrators to justice.

Rt. Hon. Yusuf Ibrahim Zailani expressed his gratitude towards Governor Uba Sani for his unwavering commitment to addressing the issue of insecurity in Kaduna State. 

Zailani emphasized the significance of public vigilance and collaboration with security forces in the collective effort to curb the widespread insecurity that plagues the nation. 

Stressing the importance of unity and cooperation, he underscored the necessity of a cohesive approach in combatting banditry and other criminal activities that pose a threat to the peace and stability of the country.

Governor Uba Sani has demonstrated proactive leadership in handling the security challenges within Kaduna state since assuming office. 

His dedication to ensuring the safety and well-being of the state’s residents has been evident through his consistent efforts to address and mitigate the impact of insecurity. 

Zailani’s recognition of Governor Sani’s proactive stance reflects a shared commitment to fostering a secure environment through collaboration and support for the security forces.

As the nation mourns the abduction of innocent school children and teachers in Kaduna State, the 9th Assembly Speaker’s message serves as a reminder of the collective responsibility to prioritize the safety and security of all citizens. 

“It is hoped that his call for decisive action will resonate with the relevant authorities and lead to a swift resolution of this distressing situation,” the statement said.
