Akwa Ibom: Police Tasks Newly Promoted Officers On Professionalism

Police Public Relations Officer, Odiko Macdon and four others in Akwa Ibom Police Command have been decorated with the next rank of Chief Superintendent of Police, (CSP) with a charge on them to see the gesture as a call for greater service and professionalism.

The other officers decorated alongside Macdon, were Ahmadu Bello, who is the Officer in-charge of Conflict Resolution Unit, Sagir Mani of the Quick Intervention Squad, Sampson Atosokwa of Eket Area Command and Mark Mbah of the Anti Narcotics Squad. 

The officers, formerly Superintendent of Police (SP) were decorated with their new rank by the Commissioner of Police, CP Waheed Ayilara at the command’s headquarters, Ikot Akpan Abia, Uyo yesterday.

CP Ayilara, while congratulating the newly promoted Officers noted that promotion came with greater responsibilities. 

He urged the officers to increase their productivity in police service delivery and always be professional while dealing with members of the public.

The newly decorated Officers thanked the IGP, the Police Service Commission and the Commissioner of Police for finding them worthy to be elevated and decorated.

They assured the CP of redoubling their efforts in making Akwa Ibom State more peaceful.
