The Registrar National Board For Arabic and Islamic Studies (NBAIS), Professor Yahuza Suleiman Imam has felicitated Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State, Speaker House of Representatives,, Emir of Zazzau, Minister of Environment and Muslim faithful on the successful completion of this year’s Ramadan fast and prayed for peace, love and unity in Zazzau emirate, Kaduna state and Nigeria as s whole.
Yahuza who was speaking on the occasion of Sallah celebration in Zaria, urged Muslims to celebrate the Sallah in love, and unity across all communities in Kogi and Nigeria at large.
The Registrar described the Ramadan period as being stressful but deserving, because it is the only period for spiritual reflection on the need to mortifying the flesh in sincere sacrifice and supplications to Allah.
He said, Ramadan symbolises Allah’s way of teaching humanity on virtuous living, where people keep away from all forms of comfort to appreciate what the less privileged experience and deprivation they suffer daily.
Professor Yahuza Suleiman Imam tasked Muslim faithful to extend the lessons of Ramadan to their daily lives and their relationship with their neighbours.
According to him, “Let’s seek peace at all times and promote unity of purpose in our society”, he appealed.
He prayed that, “may the celebration usher in sustainable peace to every home in Zazzau emirate, Kaduna State and Nigeria at large”.
