Islamic Youth Scholars Caution Group Against Provoking Religious Discord In Ilorin

The Islamic Youth Scholars Emirate of ilorin,   have cautioned a group called More Blessing under Alhaja Aminat Abdulazeez against action that might provoke religious discord.

The Islamic Youth Scholars of ilorin Emirate in Kwara State, represented by the Majilisu Shabab-Ulamah  cautioned Alhaja Aminat Abdulazeez (also known as More Blessing) against actions that might provoke religious discord in the state. 

They urged her to refrain from simultaneously practicing Christianity and Islam within the same premises.

Allegations have surfaced regarding Aminat Abdulazeez’s practice of both religions in a mosque located in the Alalubosa Area of Oko-olowo, Ilorin.

In discussions with the media, the Islamic youth scholars condemned this behavior as highly provocative, warning of its potentials to inflame religious tensions.

The Chief Imam of Oja Tuntun, Sheikh Abdulfatai Arowolo the group’s president, emphasized  acknowledgment of every citizen’s constitutional right to religious practice.

However, he denounced the concurrent practice of Islam and Christianity in one location as misleading and potentially incendiary, particularly in Ilorin, where the Muslim population is dominant.

The scholars publicly expressed  dismay over Aminat Abdulazeez’s actions, urging her to choose one religion and adhere to it without belittling others.

 The group stressed that such behaviour, could sow seeds of religious discord and should be avoided to maintain peace.

Additionally, they called upon the Nigeria Police and other security agencies to intervene and ensure Aminat Abdulazeez’s compliance with these directives in the interest of promoting harmony among followers of different faith.
