Renewed Hope Agenda: FG Awards Contracts For 3,500 Housing Units  


 

*Minister performs ground Breaking for 250 Renewed Hope Housing Estate project in Katsina

Federal Government has awarded contracts for the construction of three thousand and five hundred (3,500) housing unit’s under the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu across the country for Nigerian citizens.

The housing units are being  funded from the fifty billion Naira  supplementary budget of the Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development.

Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Architect Ahmed Musa Dangiwa disclosed this at the ground breaking ceremony for the construction of two hundred and fifty (250) Renewed Hope Housing Estate project in Katsina. 

Architect Musa Dangiwa said the project is part of the larger vision of President  Tinubu, when he launched the renewed hope cities and estate project earlier this year. 

 According to Architect Dangiwa,  the ministry is targeting to construct between five hundred to one thousand housing units per site in each of the six geo political zones of the country and the FCT.

 He said the remaining thirty states  would have two hundred and fifty housing unit’s each.

He enjoined states yet to provide lands for the housing project to do so and directed the developers of the project to ensure adherence to specifications and complete the project within three months to  allow for allocation to the occupants.

He explained that, the ministry has rolled out different options every citizens who have the source of income and livelihood to own the homes when completed.

On his part,  Governor Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsîna State, lauded President Tinubu and the  minister of housing  for making the housing project in Katsina a reality.

Governor Umaru Radda said the project represent the desire of  the present state administration to ensure Nigerians get affordable housing .

Governor Radda reiterated that, the renewed hope  housing  project was a symbol of collective determination to create a better and more prosperous future of the Country.

 Earlier in a welcome address,  the Minister of State in the Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, Alhaji Abdullahi Tijjani Gwarzo said the project is not only a construction of housing,  but represents  government commitment to creating a better and  more sustainable environment where people live, work and  thrive in the community. 

Also speaking, representative of the construction firm, Engineer Mustapha Ruma Ibrahim  assured commitment to ensure they meet standards and complete the project on schedule and  in accordance with specifications.
