Katsîna CSOs Beg Tinubu To Halt Relocation Of Agencies To Lagos

Three Civil Society Organizations in Katsina State have called on President Bola Tinubu to halt   the illegal proposed relocation of Katsina Airport project to other Airport in the Southern Part of the Country with immediate effect.

The organizations include Muryar Talaka, Katsina Youth Enlightenment crusade on peace and Development and the Citizen Participation Against Corruption Initiative.

The Chairman of Muryar Talaka Comrade Bashir Dauda Sabuwar Unguwa read the statement on behalf of the organizations.

 The statement claimed that there were moves by the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace development Mr. Festus Keyemo to relocate the project meant for Umar Musa Yar’adua International Airport.

It said, the move by Mr. Festus Keyemo was on collision with the President Bola Tinubu Agenda which states that his Government would complete all projects initiated by immediate previous administration.

 The statement said the project for the refurbishing Airport Rescue and fire fighting vehicles at Umaru Musa Yar’adua International Airport was awarded in 2022.

The organizations called on Governor Umar Dikko Radda, elders and patriotic citizens in the State to do the needful to reverse the subversive action of the Minister of Aviation Festus Keyemo which meant to retard the development of Katsina State.
